▶ Your Answer :
Today, many people enjoy dangerous sports such as skydiving and scuba-diving. Regarding this, some warns that government should regulate on those activities. However, on the other hand, people say that government should not threat liberty of choosing favorite activities even those are a bit hazardous. In my perspective, I partly agree with both points of vies as they insist with acceptable backgrounds. In this essay, I will discuss both sides of hands and also explain my opinion.
To begin with, there are several reasons why those dangerous activities should be handled by government. Firstly, there is a responsibility that governments should guaranty public safety. As we can easily guess that, doing such risky sports brings enormous undesirable outcome. For example, people who regularly jump from airplane, will encounter diverse unpredictable obstructs and it will seriously force their once life. Moreover, some of costs for those people if they get injured would be paid by governmental budget or fund, which are received from public. Secondly, with the development of the internet media, those activities can easily be spread to even young people, and some of them may follow those sports without proper knowledge. This is an overwhelming lose as the weigh of importance of young people' life is probably heavier than any other.
Nevertheless, there are still some remarkable reasons why government should not force their liberty of choice. Firstly, public has right to individually judge their choice, and the cost of those choices would be theirs. For instance, people who enjoy skydiving, usually signature on the document before jump that they will enjoy the diving and also take any risks themselves. Moreover, if these people earnestly want to do such activities, they will find other country where allow them or play sneakily. These may bring more dangerous situation because they will not follow even basic safety rules and countries where allow those sports may have another risks. One of base jumper(dive on the hill with parachute) from Korea died in Argentina last year as their was no one who could maintain her equipment in the country.
In conclusion, In my point of view, It could be better to governments provide tough supervision with allowing those activities so that they play their hobby with enough attention and it does not affect young people. |
