It is a
common belief that developed artificial technology will be alternative of
human's labour. However, there is a more persuasive argument that people will
always play essential roles in many workplaces. This is because there are
several fields that computers cannot be performed by itself.
On the
one hand, more and more labour work fields have been replaced by computers
because automatic systems are more efficient and faster than human's ability.
To be specific, in some labour employee markets, only one electronic machine
has been able to sub for numerous individuals' labour and reduce product prices. For example, in mobile
phone and car industries, due to the automatic systems, it has been possible
for many companies to produce their products efficiently and reduce labour
cost. Thus, people have been able to use cheaper ones than before.
Nevertheless,
I support the idea that some work fields are always needed to human's resources
even if artificial technology has been developed. The range of computers
abilities is limited to some repeated and simple work process, while humans can
be creating a new and original product. For instance, art and design fields
cannot be carried out by machines. These jobs need to produce new and creative
ones and deal with people's emotion. Therefore, mechanisms which cannot
empathise and understand humans emotion always run into brick walls.
To sum up,
while it is apparent that artificial technology is more efficient and faster
way to the labor market, it is undeniable that technology cannot easily replace
human's ability because of creativity and empathy ability of people.
