It is true that there
are some people concerning about the old workers because they are threatening
the young generations. However, others firmly believe that it is inevitable for
seniors' health and happiness and also they are a crucial asset of companies
owing to their previously acquired knowledge and skills in the workplace.
According to a
section of society, some people claim that with the elderly employees moving
from pre-retirement to post-retirement, the ageing people are threatening many
young talented people over the world. Even lots of employers think that
training young labours is much costly than maintaining workers who are already
working in their corporations, which can bring about lots of losses in national
economic growth because the young generation has more potential and work
prospectus generating lots of financial profits. However, despite lots of
shortcomings of the elderly workers, I personally believe that it is inevitable
to ensure the ageing people keep in their workplace for a long time.
Firstly,
continuing to work in old age is necessary for the seniors' happiness and
well-being lives. Even though the advancement of medical care and treatment
result in the improvement of healthy lives in old generations, there are still
lots of burdensome such as operational costs. For example, in Korea, there are
lots of old people who have to take care themselves even if they get some money
from the government after retirement since that pension is not enough to
sustain their lives. So, in this regard, the seniors also should have a job for
their satisfactory well-being
lives. Moreover, the old workers are also essential in work environment because
of their acquired knowledge from working experience. By respecting their
efforts and allowing them to continue to work until the old age, many young
employees can get a lot of wise, professional and practical skills from the
ageing workers.
In
conclusion, even if the ageing population in the workplace are threatening the
young generations, I firmly believe that it is inevitably necessary due to seniors' well-being lives and also
their previously acquired professionalism and skills to
be highly critical in many ways for our society. |
