the reading passage argues that there are a number of benefits that can be obtained through the use of uniforms in school. On the other hand, the lecturer brings up several points that contradict the argument. First of all, the lecturer points that wearing uniforms in school can not keep kids safer and reduce instances of crime. This is attributed to the fact that the number of fighting is increased about two times in Florida. This refutes the point that reductions across all types of criminal activity was due to the fact that kids wear school uniforms. Moreover, in the lecture, the point is made that great team spirit and unity are not attributed from the same wearing. It is obvious that the uniforms remove personality from students. This casts doubt on the idea in the reading passage that students engage more in a great level of participation. Final point made by the lecturer is that not all students wear the same cloths while doing school activities. six percent of wealthy people wear a quality of uniform. However, the lower quality cloths were weared by students who lived in marginally located area. | |
