Humans changed over time. They became
taller, faster, older, and fatter. In the beginning, they all had similar
cultures, convention, and idealism. However, they evolved to have diverse
cultures and practices. As time went by, every individual started to have
different opinions and formed diverse backgrounds. Now anyone can be unique,
and have any idealistic in the contemporary society. Therefore, the topic nowadays
it is easier to maintain healthy than the past can have varieties of points of
view. However, based on my cultural backgrounds, I would disagree. First, these
days there are many instant foods. Second, people living in the present age
have not enough time to exercise.
To begin with, today, there are much more
foods especially instant foods such as pizza, chicken, and hamburger than the
past. As a consequence, people in these days enjoy eating instant foods. Moreover,
people eat instant foods as a late-night snack. Therefore, people began to gain
weight and eventually became fat. That is, obesity has increased. According to
a professor at Seoul National University Hospital, recently, the proportion of Korean
overweight, including boys and adolescents has doubled up between 8 years. Obesity
among children mainly leads to adult obesity which results in numerous chronic
diseases. It had such a huge influence on me that I believe it is harder to
keep healthy than the past.
In addition, People nowadays are living a
busy and hectic life. Namely, they have not enough time to exercise. They do
not have sufficient time to do their jobs, so they do not think about caring their
health. Thus, people who do not manage own health, can suffer from unhealthy
health. For example, my father was very thin 20 years ago, but he became fatter
than ever before due to his busy business. In former time, he can exercise at
least once every week, but now he cannot exercise at all. As a result, he lost
his health, so my family is always worried about his health. From my father,
one can infer it is not true that nowadays, maintaining the healthy is easier
than the past.
After the rationale, the essay reached a
conclusion. In the end, a point of view which I have offered should not be
underestimated because I explained these days there are many instant foods and people
living in the present age have not enough time to exercise. They are all valid
points to behold. Therefore, the postmodernist societies should not gravitate
toward the topic.
