▶ Your Answer :
There are some disagreements over whether
or not it is better to cover the truth than telling the truth. Some people
believe that it is necessary to tell the truth to everyone without misleading.
My view, however, is that telling the truth has sometimes deleterious effects.
This is because the truth can cause the distortion. Moreover, there is
unexpected result.
To
begin with, the truth can lead people to be disorganized. The public tends to
want to know about the truth without misunderstanding. However, the government
is willing to hide the truth. This is because the truth can cause a lot of
people to panic and even the society temporary does not run proficiently. Most
of people have less ability to make right decision when they confront social
problem beyond measure. For example, there are discovered evidences and
researches in the government. The data is confidential documents that are not
informed to the citizens. This is due to the fact that the government recognizes
that the data have intense and adversarial effect to the public. Thus, they
want to reveal the data after decades when the public forgets the event related
to the data and it is possible for them to make right decision about the event.
In
addition, telling the truth results in unpredicted damage or result. In the
modern society, mass media plays a significant role on informing the truth
about an event to audience because of the right to know. However, even though
mass media might have some positive effects to the public, the truth can cause
unexpected and inimical impact. For example, in the U.S, there was the event
that the military of U.S killed Osama Bin Laden who was a leader of terrorists.
The events were informed to most of citizens through television and the
internet. The new media informed also about detailed information of heroes who
killed Bin Laden. Heroes were respected to a lot of people. However, with the
mass media, the heroes were killed. This was because the truth in connection
with killing Bin Laden was beneficial information to terrorists who wanted to
revenge. As a result, the news media that want to inform all of truth to the
public would make unpredicted and inhospitable effect to someone.
