Undoubtedly, an influence of high school teachers plays a significant role in people's daily lives in many of the places where they work or play. There are several abilities that high school teachers should have: the ability to give students advice on future career, the ability to help students when they need help and the ability to encourage students to teach themselves outside of the classroom. If I had to choose one, I would say giving a hand to students in need is the most important ability. There are several reasons as follows.
To begin with, when teachers take care of students with trouble, it can contribute to an increase in the students' overall happiness. High school students actually have a lot of worries such as how to raise their grades and to interact well with classmates. When their problems are cared by teachers, it is likely to bring about a better result in high school life. For example, when my brother was in high school, he often felt lonely, since it was difficult for him to make friends. Most of his classmates seemed very busy and indifferent to others treating each other as rivals. Fortunately, he was able to get over his feelings of loneliness in a safe way by seeking advice from his homeroom teacher. His homeroom teacher encouraged him a group project with his classmates. He had to spend 2 hours everyday with his team members. Naturally, he was able to get mingle well with the members and all of them became friends. Without his teacher's assistance, he would not have been able to escape his lonely life.
In addition, when teachers offer academic advice to students with lower grades, it's likely to improve their academic performance. Students need special care for their understanding of lessons. For example, when my sister was in high school, she often felt depressed thinking that her life became an exhausting routine. To survive in a competitive world, she spent the whole day studying all academic subject. Although she made constant effort, it was not easy because everyone was as working as hard as she was. Fortunately, she was able to deal with such pressure and stress by getting additional personalized assignments from her homeroom teacher. Her teacher gave her more math homework since her math grade was comparably lower than other subjects. By doing this she was able to raise her rank in school. Also, she was able to feel a greater sense of achievement.
All things considered, I strongly believe that the advantages of helping students in need far outweigh those of other options. All in all, an impact of high school teachers cannot be overestimated in life.
