▶ Your Answer :
Some people
think that movies that include lessons for life is the greatest. They probably
feel that films should involve educational values. However, in my opinion, people
prefer to watch movies which are exciting and fun to relieve their stress and
also movies that teach us about life are usually boring.
To
begin with, interesting movies that do not have life lessons is a good way for
people to take a break. After spending long hours of studying or working,
people need time to fresh their minds. Watching exciting movies is an effective
method for relieving stress from their daily life, and it will provide them
with fresh minds that will help them do better in their positions. For example,
my family used to watch a movie every week and we chose adventure or comedy
movies rather than movies which had educational content for life. After
watching a movie, I felt refreshed and I was able to concentrate on my study
and homework better. I still think that this break time is the reason why I consistently
got good grade in school.
On
top of that, people often avoid watching movie about life because they feel
those films are tedious. Even though something is amazingly good for us, it
will not have a positive impact on us if we don’t like it. In other words, even
if some movies include valuable lessons, it could not give any help to viewers
who did not have much interest on the movies. According to a poll conducted by
the University of Texas, 80 percent of the respondents ranked other genres
higher than movies about life, when asked about genres that affect their life
the most. And when asked about genres which they considered the best or the
worst, an overwhelming 70 percent people chose actions movies for their best
movie, whereas most of them claimed not to want to watch movies again which
convey life lessons.
To sum up, movies not based on life lesson
generates opportunity for people to relieve their stress and people usually
refuse to watch those movies since they are not interesting. In this regard, I
strongly believe that movies that teach us about life are not the best ones.
