▶ Your Answer :
Some people believe that students are more influenced by classmates than by teachers. However, in my opinion, teachers are likely to give a greater influence to students than classmates are. Teachers can give more moral lessons and teach well-organized knowledge to children in their school life.
First, teachers have a more positive and greater influence on students in moral ways. This is because teachers are well-educated and experienced to guide students to behave well. While classmates can mislead themselves due to their lack of moral recognition, teachers play a critical role in correcting their behaviors, which can be said as a more important influence. To illustrate, my cousin had a bad habit of stealing others’ possessions while he hung out with his classmates for a while. After that, His teacher recognized it and guided my cousin not to behave that way since he had a lot of experiences guiding many students and with his well-trained consulting skills.
On top of that, teachers give well-balanced knowledge to students in the class. This is due to the fact that teachers in schools help student to obtain well-balanced and updated knowledge. Students these days are overwhelmed by lots of information, but they are likely to be biased to select information based on their own tastes. School is the place where students gain the diversity of knowledge that is necessary to live in the society. According to the research done by Professor Ryan Shaw in the University of California, knowledge taught by teachers in the school is the most influenced part for the growth of students in the right way. The research especially concluded that well-balanced and updated knowledge should be obtained in the school because students are likely to get biased when influenced by social media, or their friends.
Because of the reasons explained above, I believe that teachers influence students more than classmates do. Teachers’ greater influences to students play an important role in their growth in the perspective of morality and knowledge. |
