▶ Your Answer :
Whether students should take difficult classes
in school or not is a prevalent issue undergoing serious debate. Two different
opinions exist in regard to this topic. After reviewing the opinions from
several perspectives, personally I disagree with the idea that it is important
for students to take difficult classes in school for the following two reasons.
It allows students to reduce creative abilities and to get a lot of stress.
To begin with, it cannot be beneficial to
creativity. While many consider that taking difficult classes enables
students to improve their creativity, we cannot deny the fact that it
is hard for them to enhance these abilities without basic knowledge. To put it
frankly, students who do not have element knowledge are not able to concentrate
on these difficult classes and to understand materials in class fully. For this
reason, it does not lead to strong creativity and then, students will not be
able to get a good job opportunity because many works are required creative
thinking in order to cope with complex problems. For instance, my cousin used
to take easy courses in university. Before long, she was not able to get a lot
of job opportunities and because she did not test her innovate thinking repeatedly
in order to promote her creative thinking.
On top of that,
it causes people to get a lot of stress. This is because students are not able
to understand contents in difficult classes and they also feel that they are
loser compared to other smart peers. Also, it is a negative effect on study and
participating on other activities because their confidence and positive
thinking is reduced. In addition, last Friday, a well-known professor of Seoul
National University published an editorial and as a result, his study supported
my view. He said that while taking difficult classes, they lose their
confidence and it did not arouse them to actively participate in their work and
to do their best. He concluded his study by saying that this proves to us that
it is not necessary for student to take hard courses and they get stressed out.
In conclusion, I believe that it is not
vital for students to take difficult classes because it contributes to reduce
creative abilities and to get a lot of stress.
