▶ Your Answer :
Purposes of education are to understand knowledge, as well as to cultivate inner values including integrity, tolerance, and cooperation. Some people think that studying alone is better in terms of concentration. However I prefer to study with other students. It is not only because studying in a group is efficient, but also because it cultivates students' inner values.
First of all, considering efficiency of studying, I would like to study together. I think that efficiency is important when we study, because high efficiency in study means that we can acquire much information in a short time. In this regard, group study allows us to save time to study, as well as to learn about knowledge much more. To be specific, when studying with other students, they can get much information by dividing fields of study, and share them with other students. For example, in my case, when I studied GRE, I spent much time with my friends. We divided the fields of study that each did a good at, and shared information each other. I took a mathematics section, and my friends studied writing section. After that, we taught the other friends about own area. Consequently, we got the high score of GRE together in all sections. These can best illustrate the importance of efficiency.
In addition, I prefer to study with a group because of cooperation. Cooperation has a significant role in society where there are many communication each other such as colleagues, junior and senior. In this regard, group study can cultivate students' cooperation. By studying together, teaching each other, and considering in other students' position, the students can develop their cooperative mind. In educational area, group study has been used in order to developing cooperation. Many universities in Korea, such as Seoul University, Korea University, and KAIST, requires the students to take a class containing group study. The standard for assessment includes achievement, variety, and cooperation. It means that university where many educational experts are together uses group study to cultivate cooperation.
In conclusion, I want to study in a group because of its advantages. When I study with my friends, I can acquire much information effectively, as well as develop out cooperation. |
