There are largely two types of people depending on where they want to have their meal: those who prefer to eat at restaurants where they pay for prices for meals, and then just enjoy their meal without any difficulty in preparing their food and those who want to prepare their food by themselves to eat food suitable for their health. Although it is true that it is a hard and time consuming job to have a meal at home because preparing food requires a lot of time and effort, I strongly believe that it is worth enough to attempt. I will briefly explain my idea by presenting two reasons.
First of all, home-made food is more healthy and clear than food made from a restaurant. While home is a hygienic place, a restaurant has a tendency to be dirty. Today’s TV programs show a lot of cases of violating hygiene standards at restaurants. Whenever I see them, I become reluctant to visit a restaurant to have a meal. I cannot assure that I can choose a restaurant where hygiene standards are clearly followed. For example, when I visited a famous restaurant with my friends, I found out that there was a coin in my dish. If I had not found it, I would have swallowed it and even died. This is a terrible experience to me and I decided never to go there. Furthermore, food at restaurant tends to use many kinds of chemical seasoning to suit people’s taste and to be too salty and strong-tasting for old people or children to enjoy it. People who are young or old should eat food suitable for their health. With a family preparing food caring for them, home-made food is more suitable for them than restaurant-made food.
Second, eating home-made food is much cheaper than having meals in a restaurant. Requiring several tips and service charges, restaurant can be a place where much money is needed to eat its food. Meanwhile, just requiring some labors such as looking over a supermarket to buy materials and cooking at home, home-made food can be much cheaper if people try to save money by visiting a place near farms where people sell crops at price. Of course, it can be troublesome to some people, but I, liking to prepare food for my family by myself, will make a choice to reduce expenses. Especially, to my family whose financial state is not in a good way, we should try to accumulate some money in our accounts by reducing food-related fee.
In conclusion, based on what I have just mentioned, I am convinced that preparing and eating food at home is more beneficial in terms of people’s health and financial situation than eating at a restaurant. |
