▶ Your Answer :
Universe is a mysterious and significant
space in science study. Some people argue that governments should spend money
as much as possible exploring outer space. However, I strongly disagree with
that idea. I believe that governments have to allocate their finance on basic
needs on Earth. There are two reasons why I think like that and I will explain
those reasons on my essay.
First of all, spending money on fundamental
requirements is more practical than using money on searching universe. There
are a lot of people who suffer from shortcoming of basic requirements.
Undoubtedly, one of the most main duty of governments is saving and helping
those people by using their budget. In this situation, spending a huge finance
on exploring universe just for studying there seems like a waste of money. Indeed,
according to one survey responded by 1,500 people in 2014, 73 percentage of
people thought that spending money on searching outer space is not helpful for
their real lives and non-practical, and only 11 percentage of people mentioned that
exploring universe is necessary.
Secondly, spending money on exploring universe
is low cost-efficient than on basic needs. This is because, studying and
exploring outer space requires a huge finance and time, also the result
sometimes not satisfied. There are one research conducted by The Financial
Organization of Korea in 2016 which has supported this maintain well. According
to this research, Korea government allocated their budget on exploring outer
space almost doubled more than previous year, however, the outcome was not good
as much as their expectation.
To
sum up, governments should spend their budget on requirements on Earth for two
reasons; practicality and cost-efficient. For these two reasons I firmly assert
that governments should spend money on basic requirements to people than on
exploring outer space. |
