▶ Your Answer :
Undoubtedly,
risks play a significant role in people’s daily lives in many of the places
where they work or play. Some people think a person who plans well and works
carefully is more likely to succeed than a person who takes risks while other
do not believe this. Both sides have their own reasons to support their views. If
I were asked to choose one, I would say that taking a risk makes people succeed
compared to meticulous plans do. There are several reasons as follows.
To begin with,
when people face risky conditions and overcome these, it allows them to achieve
their goals. Many achievers always go through dangerous situations for their
works to accomplish their goals. Surmounting these hazard situations is plausible
to enable people to put in more efforts. For example, when my cousin was in
college, she often felt depressed thinking that her life became an exhausting
routine. The reason was that she was majoring in swimming, but her right leg
got broken by an accident. Moreover, her father passed away during work in
reconstruction sites, so her family was mired in economic plight. However, she
did not give up: she not only exercised for recovering her leg every day, but
also had three part-time jobs to keep sustenance such as serving in a
restaurant and café and delivering milks in every morning. By getting over such
risks, she was able to swim again, become a good athlete in South Korea, and
get the first prize in the national swimming contest. Many people around her
consider her a really successful person, allowing her to be confident, strong,
and optimistic.
In addition, a risky
event is sometimes a chance to succeed. In the course of success, people encounter
an unexpected dangerous situation, which a turning point needed to succeed simultaneously.
If they lose this chance, this is likely to cause them to fail to obtain their
purpose. To illustrate, my father was a president in a luxurious Italian restaurant
in my town. My town was located in a rural area of South Korea, so many people told
him that the idea to open this restaurant in the town was really dangerous. This
was because there was no such expensive restaurant in the town. Nevertheless,
he decided to challenge the hazard condition, and fortunately, many people in
the town liked and visited his restaurant. Most of people said that no such
high-grade restaurant was built nearby the town, so they loved to go to the restaurant.
It means that his restaurant was able to be famous due to non-existence of
expensive restaurants. He was able to earn a lot of money and make franchises
all around the city. Without getting such chance, he has fallen behind.
All things
considered, the advantages of experiencing risky events far outweigh those of planning
punctilious schedules for the reasons I have mentioned above. All in all,
encountering risks cannot be overestimated in the pursuit of success in life.
