Opinions might be divided over whether it is important
to try several different jobs until people find their favorite job or not. People of diverse ages and from different
walks of life may take diverse positions on this controversial issue.
Personally, I agree that it is important to try several jobs before people get
their favorite job. This is because people can expand their horizons by
experiencing several jobs. (보통 한 개의 근거보단 최소 2개 정도는

To begin with, people should experience many kinds of
jobs because nowadays, people live longer than
ever before, and they can’t
be sure to do what they want to do in the future. More importantly, what people
want to do is can be changed at any time, so people should prepare for
that. Opponents of my point of view claim that people don’t need to do several jobs which is not related to their favorite
preferred one, because if people do unwanted
jobs, they would be stressed out and nobody wants that. Advocates’ claims may sound reasonable on the surface. However, if we take a
closer look at their contentions, the rationale for their assertion lacks logic
in many ways. Moreover, my personal example can debunk their claims. A friend
of mine, Minsu is a successful business man
working at the Hyundai Motor Group, and he adapted well to the harsh environment. Now, he can handle his tasks
with no effort. He said that thanks to his job experiences he could succeed.
Before he entered the company, he had had several job experiences,
such as part-time jobs and internship program. With these experiences, Minsu
could broaden his vision, and succeed in his field.
Beyond my personal experience, there are many articles
which can support my argument. They expressed doubts that are similar to my
point of view. A few weeks ago, I had a chance to read an article from the
Dong-A Daily News that is relate to the topic. It described the results of a
survey conducted by the Samsung Economic Research Institute social science
researchers with more than five hundreds of CEOs working at large companies in
Seoul. According to the article, of the 500 CEOs surveyed more than 80 percent
of them answered that it is quite important that people have several job
experiences before they get a favorite job that they have been looking for
because although these experiences may not be
related to the favorite, people can enhance their insight for their favorite job with these experiences. The CEOs went on to say
that people who have many experiences is are
likely to find their favorite job more easily than who don’t have.
As mentioned
above, based on the examples related to experiences, I can conclude that it is
important to try several different jobs until people find their favorite job.
