Some people think that it is better to spend money on jewelry for their
better lives. However, in my opinion, it is better to spend money on vacation
to other countries. This is because it enables people to broaden perspectives
and live happier lives.
To begin with, spending money on vacation allows people
to have experience. I believe experience is one of the most essential factors
of success in this world. Imagine people only have textbook knowledge. Their
views will be so narrow. By traveling in other countries, people have would not only gain diverse experience but also
broaden their horizon of the world. Traveling in many countries means gaining opportunities to learn new ideas. What is
commonly accepted as the cultural norm in my country may not be the case in other
countries. For example, lunch at work is usually only an hour in my country and
many employees even rush through their meals to maximize time for work. Thus,
those who take longer lunch hours would be branded as unproductive. However,
when traveling in Hispanic countries, I noticed that lunch time can last as
long as two to three hours. It was explained to me that face time to eat with
their friends and peers is more important than productivity at works.
On top of that, spending money on vacation permits
people to live happier lives. Interestingly, a renowned social scientist in
South Korea published an article in “The Korean Herald” last Tuesday which
claims that 73 percent of 300 Korean people believe spending money for
traveling enables people to break down from their daily routines to live
happier lives. By diverting from the mundane, people have opportunities to
encounter new activities that helps
people to have their life satisfaction gain
satisfaction in life. For instance, spending time to travel to Europe
has psychological benefits. It helps to detract focus from job stress and
personal issues all the while generating self-confidence and motivation from
completing a new challenge. In other words,
spending money to travel provides the convenience for people to seek diversion
that invokes feelings of pleasures, happiness, and satisfaction. I thought to
of this report because the results of the survey
resonated my thoughts.
To sum up, I
believe that it is better to spend money on vacation for the following reasons:
broadening perspectives and living happier lives. Consequently, the importance
of my view cannot be underestimated for the reasons I have mentioned above.
