▶ Your Answer :
Undoubtedly, time
management plays a significant role in people’s daily lives in many of the
places where they work or play. Some people think that students should help
their parents with household chores although they are busy, while others do
not. Both sides may have their own reasons to support their views. If I had to
choose one, I would say that household chores should be distributed to all
members of family including students.
To begin with, doing
housework allows students to realize the importance of punctuality. Housework requires
many obligations such as managing time, abiding by rules, and respecting other
members of family. When such obligations are fulfilled, they are likely to
realize that it brings about a better result in the family life. For example,
my youngest brother used to be lazy and selfish. However, he has changed little
by little after he started doing house chores every Monday. He realized that
his punctuality could help mingle well with other members of family, while his
laziness could negatively affect everyone. Naturally, he became more prompt
with time, played his part better, and even encouraged other members to be more
responsible. Without this experience, he would still have been irresponsible.
On top of that, when
teenage students have to do household chores, it will help them to cultivate
important qualities needed for success. Working for family in home requires
them to be diligent, passionate, and self-disciplined. When these personal traits
are developed, it is likely to bring a good result. For example, Seoul National
University found a huge difference between two groups of students. One group
consisted of those who do housework regularly and the other group was made up
of those who never worked at home. The researcher found that the former was
more likely to be assiduous than the latter. In particular, the first group
showed a higher gratification about their family and a stronger passion in
their tasks. On the other hand, the second group tended to make aversion easily
and change their interest more frequently. This implies that helping household
chores is the key to success in their lives. Without work experience, one would
fall behind.
All things
considered, the advantages of helping housework far outweigh those of working
only their own tasks. All in all, the importance of doing house chores cannot
be overestimated in life. |
