There might be some people who believe that movies and television have negative effects on young people. However, I personally disagree with the above idea for two subsequent reasons. First, watching movies and television can reduce stress. Also, It can make people get a nice hobby.
Firstly, watching television possibly can be a way to reduce stress. Because when people watching TV, they do not need to think about other thoughts, and eventually they will feel relax and more comfortable so that they can relieve stress. People nowadays are living in a busy and hectic life so they are under great stress. According to a study done by SEE institute of relax, Stress is a major factor that keeps us from being healthy and one of the effective method to reduce stress is watching TV.
Second, watching television or movies make people find a special hobby via the documentary show. Let me bring up my personal story as a example. Last year, I watched one of the sports documentaries that introduce the bicycle rider's club. And I finally decided to join a bicycle rider's club because the members’ movements looked so manly and powerful when they are riding. The members use bicycles to commute to work or school because they do not have to drive around and create carbon dioxide. Also, cycling club is a great outdoor activity because I work out every day. If I have not watched the television show, I would not join bicycle rider's club.
In conclusion, watching television and movies reduce not only stress but also makes a great hobby. In this regard, I personally disagree Movies and television have negative effects on young people. |
