companies should not be necessary do not need to ensure to maintain their job for their
entire life due to unprecedented risks in companies' upcoming
future. Moreover, problems with individual motivation can be made in their company.
To
begin with, businesses should be patient against the unpredicted result when
they guarantees their worker to hire for their entire lives. The employees
with positions eternally guaranteed in a company might compromise their ability in connection with
their work because of the changed society and the deficiency of effort to
improve their talent. Thus, if a company prevents employees who are unseasoned
from being fired, the profit of company would be deceased to great extent. For
example, Dong-Won, a company producing a wide range of canned food to consumers, enacted
the policy to guarantee that employees worked for their entire lives. The
decision caused the profit of Dong won to decrease dramatically after a decade because employees became older and their ability required for tasks has been
vitiated as the time passed by. Therefore, Dong Won had to revise
the policy as possible as fast.
In
addition, new employees can encourage old employees to work hard. New workers
have a tendency to be fervent since they want to assimilate a lot of knowledge
from new environment. However, old employees are already accustomed with their surrounding
and are no longer curious to their work. New workers are able to
lead for old workers to broaden their perspective because new
graduated have a wide variety of information that old workers did not experience before. For instance, Facebook, a social media company invented by Zuckerberg, had
the policy that is related to employing new applicants annually. This was due
to the fact that Facebook was sensitive to the trend of society and new workers
had assorted experience. Facebook always had to observe and respond
immediately. The analysis played a significant role on increasing the profit of
Facebook. Thus, old workers who were galvanized from new employees were largely
responsible for being passionate.
To
summarize, businesses might endure dramatically decreased profit when the contract is guaranteed forever, and new employees should become applauding stimulation to a company. Considering
the two reasons above, it is evident that companies should hinder hired
employees from working for entire lives.
