▶ Your Answer : It has been argued among many people whether childhood is the most important life for their intellectual development. It is true that one's intelligence can be developed by the various efforts even after being grown up. However, I believe that childhood is the most essential and effective period of one's life to be able to develop one's intelligent ability. In this essay, I will present briefly two reasons supporting my idea. First, it is commonsense that the best time to learn something is the childhood. For example, many people who want to make their children not to be suffered with using foreign language, they tend to teach foreign language to their kids, as ealry as possible. In many case, the children who were exposed to the environment of using foreign language, they are likely to be the native bilingual speaker. In addition, not only the language skill, but also the possibility of being able to be the best sports player is dependant upon how early they start to learn it. Most of the best sports player in the world started to play it since they were little kids. Second, the existence of 'Wolf-boy' is another proof of the importance of childhood as the best period for one's intellectual development. As many people already knows, various cases of 'Wolf-boy' has been announced to the public. The people who were lived with animals rather than being along with other human-beings, since they were little kids, could not speak any human language so that communication with them was almost impossible. Even though many scientists had tried to teach them human communicaion skills, they failed to learn it eventually. It is believed that they lost their timing to be normal person. In summary, I agree with the suggestion that the childhood is the most valuable years in life for their intellectual development on account of the reasons that I mentioned above : not only it is the commonsense that the best period of developing one's intelligence is the childhood, but also the example of 'Wolf-boy' proves the idea that after losing the chance to learn civilizaion when they are young, it is impossible to be normal human. |
