▶ Your Answer : There might be some people who believe that parents do not need to prevent children from making mistakes. However, in my opinion, parents should inhibit children from making mistakes for two reasons. First, impoliteness of children annoys others. Second, parents can prevent children from committing copycat crimes. To begin with, rudeness of children irritates people. Thus, parents should always take care of children's mistakes about impoliteness. Even if children do not know about politeness, they should behave politely especially at public places. Skeptics of my main line of argument may argue that this reason does not sound like a reasonable position at first sight. Nevertheless, to their dismay, there exists an abundance of examples that substantiate my claim. Here is one of them; when my brother was in middle school, he often went to crowded places. My parents sent him to many different courses and activities. First, they enrolled him in math and English language courses. On weekends, they went to art gallaries or museums together. During vacations, tehy spent time at various local festivals. Places for these activities were mostly busy and crowded. Many children behaved impolitely making noise loudly and running around annoying others in those places. Others felt uncomfortable and frustrated. Every visitor complained that children should learn about politeness. What this means is that parents should prevent children from making mistakes. On top of that, copycat crimes of children can be avoided. Children could commit crimes after watching TV or movies. They may think that it is just fun, and they have no idea when they perform crimes. It may be the biggest mistake for them. The representative case that I narrated above is not the only evidence to support my view. In a study conducted recently, a significant majority of survey participants endorsed my point of view that copycat crimes of children should be prevented by parents. One middle school boy said in the interview that in recent movies, gangsters were better off and good people were bullied and struggled to make a living. Some children organized a gang and committed crime after watching such movies. He then added that if their parents had prevented their children from wathcing such movies, the children would have not done the crimes. In conclusion, preventing children from making mistake cannot only make children polite, but also prevent copycat crimes of children. |
