Some people might claim
that it is more useful for students to study alone rather than to study with
others. However, this perspective is not true for the two following reasons,
which I am going to elaborate. From my point of view, I personally feel that studying
in a group is more beneficial for students. (인트로 좋습니다)
First of all, studying
with their friends in a group allows students to improve a sense of
responsibility. This is due to the fact that studying together in a group
requires a few various (a few를 쓰시면 매우 적다는 느낌을 줘요. 차라리 various를 써주세요) obligations, such as arriving on time, observing their
own regulations, thoroughly completing their tasks. According to a study
conducted by Seoul National University, students who study in groups do academically
better academically (앞에 와도 문법적인 오류는 없지만, 뒤에 오는 게 더 자연스럽습니다) than their peers who
study alone at home or in libraries. This is because students studying with
others know that they have to make a conscious endeavor to prepare sufficient
information about assorted subjects of academics in advance in order to share
their individual’s views in a study group. Thus, they focus more and
more on their studying and can consequently get good grades. This shows that
studying in a group will able to affect all the students in positive ways.
On top of that, attending
a study group enables students to be more likely to get a job easily. To be
specific, as modern society is increasingly becoming specialized and
competitive, most of the job markets require job candidates with not only the
high degree of expertise, but also leadership skills in the workplace. In other
words, students are able to broaden their
viewpoints by sharing varied ideas and also reinforce their leadership skills
by having multiple discussion times with
different people in a study group. According to a study done by Korea
University, those who have leadership qualities have an enormous competitive
advantage over those who lack leadership. The reason is that developing and
industrialized countries are progressively moving toward economies in
competitive world. Also, the study pointed out that nowadays, there is a higher
priority placed on proficient leadership skills in the workplace. This implies
that studying with other students in a group plays a significant role in
preparing their future careers.
To
sum up, studying in a group makes people strengthen their discipline as well as
offer them an opportunity to get a job readily in the future. In this
regard, I fully believe that students need to study in a group with their
friends instead of studying alone.
