▶ Your Answer :
If I have a
chance to study abroad in any country for a semester, I would like to go to the
United States. The compelling logic behind this is that it is easy to make new
and diverse types of friends, I can practice English there, and there are a
variety of sources and professors in America.
To begin with,
if I study abroad in the United States, I could have many chances to meet
variety people and make friends. Since there are many people from different
countries in the United States, it is easier to meet people from all over the
world than other countries. Actually, people are usually not study abroad in
Korea, so there are a few chances to meet foreigner or make foreign friends.
Thus, in America, I have many chances to make friends from Europe, Asia, Africa,
and so on.
Moreover, I would like to decide to
study abroad in America because I can learn English. In my country, when people
have job interviews, interviewers want them to speak in English well. Koreans
learn English since they are in elementary school, but most of them cannot
speak English well because there are a few places to practice speaking in
English. Therefore, it is a good place for me to improve my English skill.
Last but not least, there are a lot of
good sources and professors in the United States. America has a great
environment to do experiment so many scholars come to the United States. I can
easily find professors from India, Germany, Korea, or other countries. Also,
there are huge amounts of sources in America. Most important articles or books
are translated in English and it is easy to access these documents. Since I
have a chance to study abroad for just a semester, I do not want to waste of my
time to find great professors or materials.
In conclusion, I definitely choose the United
States if I have a chance to study abroad for a semester. The reason is that I
can make new friends from different countries, improve English, and look for
great professors and materials easily.
