▶ Your Answer :
The reading
passage asserts that smart cars would be beneficial for car drivers in terms of
safety, speed on the road and price. However, the lecturer totally refutes the
passage’s claim by stating that it is not clear that having smart cars would
give us benefits.
To begin with, the lecturer maintains
that smart cars would cause more accidents on the road. Since they make
themselves more tightly, they would be packed together on the high way. This is
antagonistic to the point of the reading passage that smart cars would prevent
accident by using sensors that detect several dangers.
Furthermore,
in the lecture, she contends smart cars do not have potential high speeds
because of the number of the smart cars. Since it is convenient to drive them,
there would be a lot of cars, which is not helpful for decreasing the driving
time.
Last the
lecturer asserts that smart cars could cost a lot because the sensors are
expensive, and repairing smart cars is also high-priced. This, however,
completely contradicts the reading passage that smart cars could save the costs
of driving. |
