Some
people think that it is more advantageous for old people to do something new
than young people. However, in my opinion, young generation might take risks
more easily than older ones. There are two reasons for this assertion. First,
young people can get precious lessons through a variety of experiences in their
lives and second, older people do not afford doing new things after retirement.
To
begin with, trying new things allow young people to learn valuable lessons.
This is because young people are able to know which choice is better for their
future by trying various experiences. On the other hands, old people have
already accumulated their way of lives, which make difficult for them to try
other things. For example, when my uncle was young, he tried various jobs to
know which area was suit for him. Finally he got to know that he wanted to be an
English teacher. Even if he had other job and had to different academic
background, he was young and had a lot of passion for fulfilling his dream.
Finally he did it. This implies that young people should do new things to get
valuable lessons.
On
top of that, older people do not have enough money to take risks after retirement.
If they failed a new thing and even spent a lot of money on it, older people
would not have stable earnings for living. This means that older generation should
stick to doing something which they are used to doing. For instance, my grandfather
started a new bakery business after his retirement. This was perfectly different
from his former working area. Moreover, he spent so much money to buy new
equipment and hire employers. However, he was not accustomed to his new
business, thus finally he failed after 3 years later. As a result, he lost all
the money which need to his retirement life.
To
sum up, younger generation should have a wealth of opportunities to try a lot
of things and old people had better do thing they already experienced. In this
regard, I strongly believe that young people are better to try new things than
old people.
