▶ Your Answer : Opinions maybe divided over whether parents should encourage students to do their assignment or helping them. People of various ages and different walks of life may take diverse positions on this controversial issue. We cannot deny the fact that it is more efficient for parents to help students. Personally, therefore, I agree that helping them helps students to save time and do better. To begin with, they do not need to undergo trial and error since parents help them anytime. So, it can lead to save a lot of time. Everyone is aware that time is incredibly precious in the heyday of their life, If students waste time going through trial and error, will time wait for them? The answer will be no. Before I said, trial and error is an old story. In the world we live in, time is gold. Since we cannot turn time back, we must manage time efficiently by saving time. For example, when I was in elementary school, I had lots of homeworks for vacations. On all such occasions, my parents used to help me do assignments. In particular, on-the-spot experience report took tremendous time to write it. At the time, my parents helped me to write it a lot such as taking pictures in the place and thinking what to write. So, I could save a lot of time than my friends and then did other homeworks or learned various things like a Taekwondo, a piano. As a result, I became far more talented than other peers.
On top of that, young people usually do not know how to cope with lots of assignment at once. Moreover, they are not used to doing something alone and find it difficult to do it at first. So, they require parents' advice and experience to do it better. Parents' experience plays important roles on their school works and development further. I believe indirect experience is one of the most essential factor of managing their tasks by learning parents' know-how. On the contrary, Imagine that people who did their assignments alone have only textbook knowledge. While going through trial and error, they may employ inefficient methods repeatedly. Due to regular failures, it might lead to lose their self-confidence. Therefore, by learning parents' wise knowledge, they can not only know how to manage their tasks but also broaden their horizon of the world. A study that conducted by The Board of Education is a good example of this. The researchers tracked the habits of 200 young students over a 3 year period, in order to find out how they efficiently deal with their assignments that they confront daily. What they found was intriguing. The students who strives to get parents' advice were better at solving assignments than those who relied on their own ability. The reason was that they already knew what the best decision is for their hard works since they have practiced continuously how to apply the problem through parents' know-how. This study demonstrates that students can be flexible and deal with hard problem easily.
In this regard, I firmly hold that parents should help children's school works for the reason that I mentioned above.
