▶ Your Answer :
Some people take it for granted that
celebrities like entertainers and athletes have a right to have more privacy.
However, contrary to this notion, it is clear that these people do not deserve
to have more privacy for several reasons. The rationale behind this is that
they can take a great deal of monetary advantages and motivate themselves by
showing their life.
To
begin with, most entertainers and athletes can get a great deal of money by
showing their private life. This is mainly because, unlike normal people, most
of them are willing to recognized by many people, and their characteristic is
based on desire to be a famous person. Therefore, they do not have a right to
have more privacy for those reasons, and even enjoy public life. For example,
my father, a famous actor in Korea, often tells me that celebrities earn a lot
of money by selling their privacy. This is because, most of them take more financial
advantages than people who worked in many normal office. Therefore, they endure
this public life and have to show their private life. If my father had not
showed his private life, he could not be a rich man.
Furthermore, this can increase motivation in
life. This is due to the fact that, having moderate privacy can be a
facilitator which motivates us to perform better and improve themselves. With
such motivation, they can have a lot of effort, concentrate more on their
tasks, and feel more responsible for what they do. Therefore, this can bring
about better a better outcome at our society. For instance, a sports star,
Yuna-Kim, enthusiastically practiced everyday about three years ago,and she
selected as one of the rising star. However, at that time, she did not
recognized by many people. She often enjoy many outdoor activities like going
amusement park. Because of this comfortable atmosphere, she was negligent and
lost interest of figure skating. However, after being known from a mass media
about three years ago, she have changed little by little. Even, she practiced
more an more with such concern of mass, and she can have responsibility for
what she do. Consequently, she won the first of prize on her important
competition. Without this privacy-free, she could not be a famous sport star.
In
short, both opponents and proponents have debated over this disputable issue
and both sides seem to have good reasons to support their arguments.
Nevertheless, from my perspective, I would be confident that famous stars do
not deserve to have more privacy than now, concerning people and our society
will benefit from it. |
