Some people have
an opinion that a humorous and easygoing teacher is more desirable for students
in an efficient way. However, I agree with the statement that a teacher who is
serous and strict is more effective. These features are required to teach
students with their fairness and efficiency to make a circumstance of the class
more desirable.
To begin with,
this kind of teacher tends to differentiate reward and punishment clearly. When
I was fifteen years old, my homeroom teacher was famous for her strictness due
to her accordance to rules with exceptions. The first impression of her is
frightening and harsh, but students found out that she always tried to judge
fairly and not to make victims due to her bias. When one student made laugh of
his classmate with her appearance, my teacher made him speak in front of people
and write a report to the school himself about why his behavior was wrong and
blame, as punishment, following the school disciplines. It was uncommon for
most of teachers just suggested a bully to apologize a victim and brought a
matter to an end. In effect, students got to try to obey the rules and no
victims appeared after that. She was the most memorable teacher among the
students with this story.
On top of that, a
serious attitude is helpful for making a desirable studying environment.
Studying is really important for students, but occasionally annoying at the
same time. In other words, some kinds of enforcement are necessary for
students’ learning. Some bona fide students might be able to overcome despite a
hardship, on the other hand, some can fail to forge ahead with their studies. If
they give up reading a book then make others distracted, the academic
atmosphere in the class can be spoiled subsequently. A teacher should deal with
this situation for innocent students as well as spoilers I mentioned, which
needs a serious respect to control. If a teacher just showed a humorous and
easygoing attitude, it would be not an efficient method to reconstruct an
environment for education.
In conclusion, who
would like to be a effective teacher ought to have a strict and serious
impression, rather than easygoing and humorous.
