▶ Your Answer :
Some people think that it is unfavorable to
move to a new environment because of losing old friends. However, I disagree
with them for some reasons. That is because it is possible to meet diverse
friends in a new place and being apart doesn't mean an eternal breakup.
First, it is possible to make new friends
in an unfamiliar place too. At first, it might be hard to get along with
unfamiliar people, but some of them could be friends that can be even more
familiar than old friends. For example, when I had to move to another city I
was so afraid of losing my old friends. For me, it was hard to get used to a
new environment. However, unlike my worry, people in a new city were very kind
and being open-mind for me. So, there, I could make much more friends who I
really fond of.
Second, staying separate doesn't mean
everlasting never contact with each other. Of course, in somehow, being apart
can decrease the frequency of meeting in face-to-face. However, if people had a
really good time with their old friend and if she thinks the same way, staying
apart can be an opportunity to think special for each other. For example, as I
mentioned above, even though I had moved to a new town, one of my old friends
have been keeping in touch. Also, it is
always a pleasure to meet her even though I could meet her almost once in a
year. What I mean is that long distance cannot determine the fondness in
friendship.
To sum up, it is surely possible to make
new friends in a new environment and staying in touch with old friends is still
possible. In this regard, I firmly disagree with the statement that argues
moving to a new city or country is not a good idea.
