Some people think that in order to become financially
responsible adults, children should not learn to manage own money at young age.
However, I strongly disagree with the
above statement by following two reasons. First, age is not important to learn
how to manage own money. Second, they need a lesson about the managing money
from their parents.
First, it is important to know how to spend money wisely
regardless of their age. Moreover, it can be more effective to learn since they
are children. For example, I do not waste of my money because I have managed my
money since when I was a child. However, I have a brother who has a trouble
with changing his spending habit because he did not manage his money since he
was a child. He always spent his money on useless things such as buying toys or
eating junk foods and he never managed his money. When he grew up, he realized
that it was bad but it was hard to change his habit immediately. This demonstrates
that children learning to manage own money is positive effect on their spending
habits.
Second, they need a lesson how to manage their money from
their parents. This is because parents know a lot of good advice from their
experiences. However, it is hard to know the practical lessons about managing
the money from our schools. As I mentioned that I managed my own money since
when I was a child. This is because my parents always gave me good lessons such
as which bank is better or how to get a high interest. However, it was hard to
know during the class because they usually taught me about the academic lessons.
This demonstrates that parents can be a vital role in teaching about how to manage
the money to their children.
In this regard, children should learn how to manage their
own money when they are young because it can positive effect on their
consumption habit and get practical lessons from their parents. To sum up, I personally
disagree that in order to become financially responsible adults, children
should not learn to manage own money at young age. |
