Describe a

in it: all family
What activities
there are: perform rituals and visit ancestral graves, 윷놀이: traditional
game, 송편
And explain how
you feel about it: 가족들이
There are many
interesting traditions in Korea, but the first that comes to mind is celebrating 추석.
It’s kind of
similar to Thanksgiving Day in the USA. Except that it’s Thanksgiving (it's 라고 쓰면 추석을 지칭하게 됩니다.) the day for giving thanks to God,
while Koreans thank their ancestors (안보다는 앤에 가깝습니다.), the two holidays are quite similar in many
ways. Both of them are in autumn and they are the days to thank for a bountiful harvest. And it’s a time to visit hometowns and gather with families.
On the other hand,
there are a lot of unique activities Koreans do during 추석. People
사전을 한번 들어보세요!) rituals and visit ancestral graves to pay respects to their
ancestors. Also, we play 윷놀이 which is a traditional board
game in Korea.
of dice. Last but not least, we make a lot of special food during 추석. The most representative thing is 송편. It’s
a rice (여기도 마찬가지입니다.) cake filled with honey and sesame filling.
To sum up, 추석 gives me a precious moment to see all of my relatives and this makes 추석 one of my favorite holidays. Since my extended family all live far
apart, we don’t have many chances to see each other. But we can all meet
during 추석. It was a shame that I wasn’t able to meet my
relatives this 추석 due to COVID-19. I hope this ends
soon and I can see my relatives.
