1. Where can people hear a lot of noise?
The places where people are buzzing with
activities and teeming with people produced a lot of noise, such as amusement parks and
markets.
For example, I went to a market with my mother yesterday and I had to yell over the loud noise to make my self heard.
2. What may happen when someone listens to very loud
music using headphones when they are running or hiking?
: Not only can it damage people's hearing, but it can also endanger their lives because it can lead to accidents. When you are running[rʌnɪŋ] or hiking, it's important to be aware of your surrounding situations and sounds. For example, honking for a car and verbal warnings from people are useful indicators in avoiding road accidents. Listening to loud music prevents you from getting these hints.
3. What can be done to reduce traffic noise?
: I think the government should make a law[lɔː] to tackle this problem. For example, imposing a fine on drivers who use their horns in unnecessary situations could be an effective measure. Regulating speeds of driving also could be helpful since the faster people drive, the noisier["NOY" + "zee" + "uh"] they are.
Also, it is important to raise public awareness about this problem because lots of people aren’t aware of the importance of this problem.
4. Do you think the world will be noisier in
the future?
: I think there is a good chance that the world will be noisier in the future since the world is getting overpopulated and more industrialized. Therefore, more man-made noise will be produced, such as household noise, and noise from cars, factories, and power plants.
On
the other hand, noise pollution level could be reduced if the strict
noise pollution controls are introduced and people become aware
of this problem.
