Your Answer ▼People seem to hold different views on the way of educating
children to be a good social member. While some say that parents should discipline
them, others argue that school is the right place to teach this. In this essay,
both views will be discussed with my opinion.
On the one hand, there are some people arguing that it is
important for parents to teach their children how to be a good social member. According
to them, since children spend most time with their parents at home, they will
highly be influenced by the way their parents behave, interact and communicate
at home. If parents discipline and educate their children well to become a favorable
social member in the future, showing excellent examples of socializing and
interpersonal ways in daily life, they would apply what they have seen from their
parents when they become a grown member in a community.
Conversely, other groups claim that school should be the
place for young people to prepare to be a great social member. This is because
schools have all necessary components that help people to be ready as a social
member. Having a lot of friends around, a number of opportunities will be given
for them to practice how to socialize with diverse people with different kinds
of personalities and characters. Additionally, well-trained and qualified
teachers are able to help out when students face some difficulties or weak
points in socializing and relationships with classmates, which enable each
student to develop and improve their necessary abilities for the future.
In conclusion, it seems both opinions have their own reasonable
perspective on this topic. However, the latter view is more convincing to me:
with the great conditions of schools for helping students to become an
excellent social member, children should be taught how to live in a society in
schools. |
