Automotive
industry has tremendously developed since the invention of automobile. Whereas
the tendency of using private transport has been rapidly increased, there are growing concerns apropos
of the negative effects of the widespread usage on the environment, which
should be tackled by fundamental solutions.
The most
conspicuous antidote is perhaps imposing higher taxes on automotive owners.
Although many believe that driving a car is the most convenient way to commute,
if the payable expenses are much higher in contradistinction to public
transport, people would be encouraged to opt for public services instead of
individual vehicles. This would directly influence to cut down on the
significant number of cars, which contribute to reducing the level of congestion, noise
and air pollution as a consequence.
Another remedy
governments could tackle this problem is to provide lawful benefits for car
manufacturing companies as well as individual users to use eco-friendly energy
resources. It is an irrevocable and irrefutable fact that consuming petrol and
gas by the number of vehicles is one of the major causes of producing a
horrendous amount of exhaust fumes. Accordingly, offering subsidies or lower
taxes on automobiles utilising the new types of energy resources such as solar
power, wind and so on would generate much less level of exhaust emission. In
this way, catastrophic air contamination in contemporary society could be
prevented in some degree.
As to assess to my
notion, I am greatly convinced that the best configuration is to enforce lawful
actions by governments to discourage the usage of individual vehicles or
encourage the utilisation of environment-friendly vehicles.
