It is believed that working part time has positive impacts on college students because it can make a chance to get gain working experiences and to learn about the importance of money. I also think university students should work at part-time positions for these reasons.
First of all, students can learn extra abilities in their part-time jobs such as communication and cooperation skills with co-workers. Being equipped with these abilities before getting a regular position makes them become more appealing candidates. Most of the personnel staffs, who answered the currently conducted research, said that they prefer candidates with working experiences even in part-time jobs to those who haven’t worked before. (여기에 대해서는 총평에서 말씀드리겠습니다.)
Not only that, college students can recognise the importance of money and raise economical independence by working part-time. Since they know the difficulties of making money, they try to build sound saving habits which are connected to their development and growth. For example, a well-known successful investor, Michael John said that if he hadn’t worked at several part-time positions in university, he wouldn’t have learned how to save and invest money properly.
To sum up, working part time allows university students to learn basic skills needed not only during part-time but also full-time jobs, which makes them competitive job seekers. Furthermore, they can learn how to save and spend money by earning money by themselves. For these reasons, I think college students should have part-time jobs.
