Some experts suggest that it is necessary
not to engage in any activity for a certain amount of time to relieve stress.
However, I strongly believe that this is not a good idea, as it is extremely difficult
to practice doing nothing as well as because physical activities can help us reduce
tension effectively.
First of all, in spite of a few
psychologists’ advice, it is not advantageous to do nothing to solve the issue
of stress. It is because it is almost impossible to do nothing no matter how
much we try, as we cannot control our brain. In fact, even though individuals
in stressful situation decide to do nothing at all, they tend to think of the
stress and related situation over and over again. For this reason, people even pay
money to register in a yoga Yoga class, for example, mainly practicing not to think of
anything during the class time.
Secondly, there is a better solution to
relieve the stress by doing physical activities. That is, exercising works
better than doing nothing in order to forget about the stress. Furthermore,
we (예시를 쓰는 상황이나, 내 의견을 쓰는 직접적으로 쓰는 상황이 아닌 경우의 1인칭은 가급적이면 줄여주시는 게 좋습니다.) can not only put the problem aside while concentrating on exercising, but also get
some energy to see the issue from the other perspectives. For example, one of my
friends told me when she was in an the extremely stressful situation at work, she
went hiking for a day. In the next morning, she felt so energetic that even she
could she could even come up with a solution to the problem.
In conclusion, trying to do nothing under the
stress is does not helpful because people are forced to think about the problem by
nature. Rather, engaging in physical activities is far more beneficial to
relieve stress and even to find a way to solve it. |
