Nowadays, some people assert that media should be prohibited
by a low when they depict descriptions of crimes in detail because this
phenomenon should result in negative implication. I strongly agree with this
issue and I will look into the reasons.
To begin with, the
number of crimes is rising these days regardless of how serious it is and the
press reports the crimes in detail even though it would be too much
information. As a result, some young people at growing age who watched the news
would imitate behavior which the criminal did as they are mentally immature. For
instance, there was the most detrimental news associated with teenagers in
Korea. They murdered their one of peers after sex violence. They mentioned that
they heard the criminal who did same behavior as them and all people were
afraid of him. Also, they added that they wanted other individuals to be scared
of them as the criminal.
Not only that, the
more people see detrimental crimes from media, the more depressed the place
where they live. (더 많은 사람들이 범죄에 대해서 알수록,
그 사회는 더 우울해진다.
라는 말을 하고싶었습니다…)
It means that people would be easily affected by the media. One of the most obvious
examples is that a few years ago, the press revealed the serious crime aimed at
a primary school student. At that time, even if the student luckily lived and
the police officers arrested the criminal, the nation’s atmosphere was under
depression for a few days. This shows that people should be influenced by the
media.
In conclusion, people
have a right to realize what happened around the globe. However, I personally
believe that given that the news leaning to too much detrimental side are prevalent,
it would cause effects on imitated crimes as well as people’s lives. (여기 마지막 문장을 이거 대신 it would cause negative effects on people’s lives 라고 해도 될까요…?
아니면 두 문장 다 적절하지 않은걸까요…)
