It is a common idea that many automobile companies created self-driving systems because there would develop their vehicle systems and have many benefits. However, there is a more persuasive argument that making self-driving systems for automobile manufacturers’ vehicles has more disadvantages and could be dangerous. On the one hand, self-driving systems are very convenient to drive. Drivers don’t have to grasp handles or manipulate complicated automobile modules. Because they don’t need to focus on driving, they can do other important work such as attending online meetings or writing papers. For example, one famous automobile company unveiled a full self-driving system car at a motor show held in 2021. According to the company, the self-driving system could control all the things that are necessary to drive. The only thing that drivers need to do is just watch forward. Nevertheless, self-driving systems could be dangerous. Different from human perception and sight, systems would have errors inevitably. If the error is made during driving, it would end up in a huge car accident. For instance, there was a fatal accident in Chicago, It was because of the error of a self-driving system. A passenger was crossing the street, but the system didn’t recognize the passenger and hit him. If such errors occurred on the highway, it would be a huge fatal accident.
