The pie chart illustrates the percentage of people who visited to four different type of tourist sites and bar chart at the right side describes popularity of five theme parks in Britain in 1999.
Overall,
it can be seen that theme parks and museum and galleries were the two most
favoured tourist attractions for visitors. At the same time, Blackpool pleasure
beach had largest number of visitors among five representative theme parks,
while the least went to Legoland, Windsor.
First
of all, theme parks saw the highest percentage of tourists with 38%, followed
by museums and galleries with 37%. The sum of the two aforementioned categories
were almost over than two third. As regards the remaining types of tourist
sites, 16% of tourists visited historical houses and monument, whereas wildlife
park and zoos accounted for 9%, which was the lowest proportion.
Looking at the
bar chart, Blakcpool pleasure beach had an overwhelmingly higher number of
visitors among theme parks in the chart with 47%. The second most popular place
was Alton towers with 17%, being by only 1% higher than Pleasured, southport.
The rest of two theme parks, (Chessington world of adventure and Legoland,
Windsor), were chosen by 10% of theme park visitors each.
