Some of people might think international events are not important because
those events have no direct impact on their lives. However, I firmly believe
that people should be concerned about the global events because it gives advantages
to personal lives.
First of all, simply because the region of the incident is too far
from where we live, it doesn’t mean that the event would not affect us at all. That’s
because the event in a distant area would cause chain effects in
the long term. Consider an example of a stock market. The stock investors who have
cared about the global events can earn huge stock returns. That’s why the
investors concentrate on the various types of global news, even doing research.
For this reason, being concerned about international incidents would give
people an actual profit.
On top of that, keeping an eye on the events around the world can also help
get a deep insight. That’s because they can develop the capacity to solve them,
being exposed to the various news on the media. For instance, the issue of a child
abuse in the kindergarten has been getting serious in Korea. However, people could
deal with this based on other cases around the world, looking to see how they
solve this issue legally or institutionally. Due to this, people could apply others’
insightful solution to their related issues. This illustrates that keeping
track of international events can lead to a better understanding of our issues
in society.
In conclusion, after considering both of these perspectives, I agree
with the idea that being concerned about global events is significantly pivotal
even if it seems like those events have no direct impact on our lives on the
surface. |
