The first line graph on the left shows the number of Public transit passengers between 1989 to 2009, and the same type of graph on the right shows the Bus and Tram passengers from 2000 to 2008.
Graph of the Public transit passengers can be divided into 3 slopes. The first slope, which has the lowest slope, was between 1989 to 1994. It had a slight increase, not much distinguishable. The second slope is from 1994 to 2004, the graph passed 300 million, and almost reached into 350 million. Finally from 2004, the graph increased sharply, surpassing 400 million and nearly got into 500 million passengers.
The second graph, which shows the Bus and Tram passengers from 2000 to 2008, it has two lines, each showing Bus passengers for straight line, and Tram passengers for dotted line. For the Bus passengers, the number of passengers were lower than tram passengers until 2004. But due to a shrinking slope of the Tram passengers, it was able to surpass tram, and ended up at about 250 million passengers. For the Tram data, their passengers were higher than the Bus passengers until 2004. However, between 2004 to 2007, the slope decreased a bit, not able to reach 150 million. But consequently it skyrocketed after 2007, which ended up at 200 million in year 2008.
