The bar graph illustrates the survey
results about the appropriate ages for the rights for a marriage, voting and the
criminal responsibilities in 3 developed countries and 2 developing countries.
Overall, people from developing countries
suggested for the younger marriages, the age for the criminal responsibilities
suggested at the adolescent ages except for Japan.
Developed countries; the USA, the UK and
Japan showed the relatively higher age for the marriage rights of 18 years, 21
years and 22 years, respectively in comparison to the developing countries,
where the age for the marriage rights was 18 years for both Mexico and Egypt.
In contrast to this result, the age for the voting rights is the lowest for the
UK and Mexico of 16, whereas other countries showed the results of; the USA and
Egypt of 18 years and Japan of age of 20.
Meanwhile, the criminal responsibilities
are showing the lowest age amongst all countries except for Japan (of 18).
Regardless with developed or developing countries, the suggested age for
criminal responsibilities would be below the age of 15. The USA suggested at
the lowest age for the crime responsibilities of age of 12, followed by Egypt
of 14 years and the UK and Mexico suggested at age of 15. |
