▶ Your Answer : There are considerably many arguments on the high income of sports players. Some people maintain that it is unequal and cause feeling of deprivation. However, I argue that it is justified because sports professionals do specific function unlike experts in other area.
To begin with, before I rendering my own idea, I think discussing otherside opinion is needed. Opponents claim that sports stars earn too much money than other important professionals, and it cause uneguality in society. They also insist that every area of jobs is equally valuable. For example, doctors perform significantly important role in the society, which saving the human's life and maintaing individuals healthy. And police officers discharge samely imfortant functions such as managing the peace of society and saving people in danger. Thus, the situation only sports professionals earn large mount of money is unfair and it cause a feeling of unequality to other experts.
On the other hand, I argue that the great quntity of income of professinal athlets is reasonable. It is because they have special roles which encouraging members of the public and advertising their country to global society. It is a good example that inhabitants of Korea were encouraged by successive winning of the foot ball World Cup in 2002. In this peiod, the GDP and the average consumtion level increased sharply. Thus, it caused business up turn in Korea. Futhermore, the level of awareness korea is increased highly in the western countries and it cause the growth of tourism industry and cultural exportation in Korea. Actually, both the rate of foreigners visition in Korea and the exportation of Korean drama and movie contants rose considerably. These are special function only sports professionals perform.
In conclusion, professional sports players can earn more money than other professional experts because they have roles, which encouraging members of society and advertising their country to other countries and others can not be involved in. |
