Sometimes, physical workers are treated differently from academic workers. Some people believe that both should be paid equally, while others think that there should be a difference. I agree that physical workers should be treated in the same way any other good academic workers are treated. In this essay, I will discuss the reasons.
Firstly, physical workers have qualified years of experience. For academic workers, experienced people are paid more because they are likely to have more responsibilities and be in a leadership role. In contrast, physical workers rarely become leaders because their company is their leader and gives an order. However, even though every experienced workers cannot become an important person, they should be paid equally with their experience because what is expected and required from them is the same level of expertise.
Secondly, physical workers are rare people with rare expertise. For academic workers, rare expertise is treated better. Companies pay more to hire them because there are a limited number of people available. In contrast, physical workers have not much chance to negotiate. Their company believes that they themselves are rare among other companies and that their workers will not leave them. However, whether their companies are rare or not, workers with every rare expertise should be treated equally.
Lastly, physical workers work long hours of working days. People are paid well when they work hard. Some people are happy to work more hours when they enjoy their job. However, overwork can exhaust people and make them leave their job. Whether they are mentally affected or physically affected, its seriousness is the same. This can be even more serious for low paid workers. If working makes them unhappy or unable to make a living, they will leave their job. They should be paid well because for them money is a minimum reason to stay.
In conclusion, physical workers and academic workers should be treated and paid equally when they have good expertise with good experience because for every experts how they do is more important than what they do. |
