The graph illustrates changes in the amount of fast food consumed in Canada over the period from 1990 to 2010.
As clearly seen from the chart, fried chicken was by far the most popular fast food at the beginning of the period, but the figure decreased more than a half decreased from 400 grams in 1990 to around 170 grams in 2010. In contrast, the consumption of hambergers and frenchfries was the smallest of all in 1990. However, over the researched period, the consumption increased siginificantly to approximately 420 grams and 450 grams respectively.
In terms of the consumption hot dog and pizza consumption, they had similar figures at about 250 grams in 1990. While there was a gradual fall in the amount of hot dog consumed, the consumption of pizza showed and a downward trend, overtaking that of hambergers around in 2007 and that of French fries aorund in 2009. By 2010, the expenditure of hot dog consumption declined considerably, with a slight rise to just under 200 grams at the end of the period.
