▶ Your Answer :
There is a controversial argument on
financial support for creative artists such as painters and musicians because
people have different views about it. While some people insist that governments
have responsibilities for supporting them, critics claim that artists should
take their own responsibilities as they have alternative ways. This essay will
examine both views and address my own opinion.
On the one hand, the art is one of
important ways to introduce cultures and historical heritages in any country. Because
of this, governments try to help economically them in order to make much more
profitable businesses such as tourism, but even though it has a good purpose,
citizens may take a responsibility for economic burden as an increasing tax.
For example, there was a claim which citizens tried not to pay taxes for
financially supporting local artists, because they think that it is unfair.
Therefore, governments should find another way not to give an economic burden
to citizens.
On the other hand, there are a variety of
alternative sources to fund art geniuses. One is that the rich people, who
collect valuable art works such as paintings and sculptures to decorate their
houses or be one way of investments to grow their assessment, hire these
artists, another is that some agencies for them should be set up. As making an
officially legal contract, these artists can concentrate on producing worthy
art works, and agencies also earn money through an advertisement, and selling or
renting art works for suitable purposes such as an element of backgrounds in a
film. This way can meet both demands of agencies and artists
In conclusion, even though the purposes of policies
are good, I believe that any burden should not be taken by people. Moreover,
due to the fact that there are various ways to meet their demands respectively,
it is better that the government should have struggled with introducing
suitable policies. (317 words) |
