▶ Your Answer :
Global climate change such as global
warming is one of the biggest challenges mankind now faced. However, how we
resolve the problem is still debating. Some people think that environmental
issues are totally responsible for governments or large companies as
individuals cannot do much about it. I personally do not agree with this point
of view.
First of all, it is not true that
individuals cannot make any differences in environmental problem. According to
the statistics, 30% of air pollutants, which is believed to accelerate the climate
change, are caused by households in 2015. For example, overuse of air
conditioners or refrigerator is the main reason of increased amount of carbon
dioxide in the planet that caused global warming. People can contribute to environment by
driving less or using environmentally friendly energy to make air unpolluted. In
addition, there are many other ways people can do about global climate change
such as planting trees and separating recycling waste.
Admittedly, governments and large corporations
should play an important role to alleviate and prevent global climate change. This
is because they are the main causes aggravating environmental problems. It is
apparent that factories built by companies and deforestation led or approved by
governments have triggered many environmental problems. To solve the problem,
they have to closely work together. In Australia, the government imposes taxes on
corporations for generating carbon dioxide.
To conclude, although there is criticism
about individuals’ efforts on global climate change, I am convinced that public
has to take part in easing the problems along with governments and large organizations.
Cooperation between them will maximize the effectiveness when it comes to
protecting the environment.
