It is an obvious fact that machine translation
is less perfect than human translation, even if machine’s role is getting
bigger in the modern society. However, demanding of machine translation has
been increasing since it is convenient and saving cost. The question is whether
to start with machine translation as part of official translation or postpone
it to for a later.
To begin with, if translation system works with
machine and to provide correct information its assets for the financial
reasons.
For an example, a person who doesn’t have
enough budgets might find it easier to choosing the MT out of more possible
ones. Although, machine translation can be lead misunderstanding and
miscommunication among business, it still helpful way of translating meaning
for users.
Thus, this brings me to my
second point; many of human translations are lacking
capability of enormous volume. Quite often, human translation can be lack of
accuracy such as making mistakes. It can easily turn people into online users
to use translation system. Furthermore, a tendency to using machine translation
might rise when the system is reinforced at accuracy and speed.
In conclusion, machine translation has both
pros and cons. I personally feel that the advantages are more significant than
the disadvantages, making financial merit with reliable way of translation system.
Taking over the role from humans can be a negative effect in the matter of unemployment,
nevertheless, it should be developed due to make better society that we live
in.
