Topic ▼ It is important to be concerned about international events, even if those events have no direct impact on our lives. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? |

Your Answer ▼
Recently, as the world seems to be unstable, various events are
often happening. It is said that international incidents do not affect our
lives directly, so people do not need to pay attention to them. Nevertheless, I
strongly believe that citizens should keep an interest in those incidents
because they can help us and have a direct impact on our life later.
To begin with, global events can give folks help to solve problems
in the future. It is possible because each event contains a valuable lesson.
For instance, in 2017, there was a hot issue, MERES, in Korea. At that time,
300 patients occurred and 200 of them died, which is the second figure in the
world. It got serious since the Korean government continued to conceal the
pandemic. As soon as that finished, Korean administration and legislation
strengthened law related to a pandemic, which has led to great prevention in
Covid-19. This demonstrates, I believe, that an affair can give us a moral.
Furthermore, worldwide incidents can exert influence on our lives
directly later because all countries are closely connected in the era of
globalization. Take the example of IS. Starting from the Middle East, terrorism
had spread to Europe and other parts of Asia. In German, some IS members
invaded Munich and killed numerous citizens with bombs and rifles. In addition
to German, terrorism also happened in other European countries. As this case
reveals, international events are not irrelevant problems to citizens anymore,
which has a direct effect.
In conclusion, affairs occurring globally cannot be ignored anymore.
They could provide individuals with solutions in prospective problems and cause
severe damages directly in the era of cosmopolitanization.
