The data illustrates the
change for fish and meat consumption in Europe between 1979 and 2004. Looking
at the graph, there are four categories which include chicken, beef, lamb and
fish.
In 1979, a person ate 230
grams beef, which is the most, per week. It was followed by lamb and chicken
with about 150 grams. Fish was consumed 60 grams which is significantly low.
However, it had changed dramatically for 25 years until 2004.
Chicken had been fluctuated,
but general trend was upward. It had been risen from 140 to 250 grams. On the
other hand, lamb was negatively correlated with chicken. It had flutuations but
had been dropped noticeably. It declined from 150 to 60 grams. The largest
consumption beef also had been fallen from 203 to 100 grams. Meanwhile, fish
had been slightly decreased but there were not big changes.
To sum up, beef, which is the
highest figure in 1979 became the second popular meat in Europe in 2004.
Chicken and lamb was consumed at the same level but they went different
direction. Finally, chicken was on the top in 2004 while lamb went down and
stayed third place. Fish is remained the bottom of the graph. |
